Skip Hire

Sometimes a skip just isn’t big enough to meet your requirements. In those situations, we at Mac Nabb Bros (Waste Disposal) Ltd can still provide you with a container to meet your needs.Rollonoff containers are perfect for larger quantities of non-compactable bulky waste such as pallets, wood, polystyrene or demolition materials.
We have a range of containers available up to 40 cubic yards to suit customers’ requirements.
The key benefits of these containers are as follows:
- To make it easy for you to load either manually or by machine, all containers come with fully opening rear doors.
- All doors have safety locks.
- Collections can be either regular or on a call basis
Licensed Waste Carrier
In Northern Ireland, wastes must only be carried by licensed carriers under the Controlled Waste (Registration of Carriers and Seizure of Vehicles) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 (the 1999 Regulations).
Mac Nabb Bros (Waste Disposal) Ltd are a licensed waste carrier (see http://www.ehsni.gov.uk/environment/wasteManage/carriers.asp ) and as such will provide you with a transfer note which you must complete and return.
Recycling Services & Materials
All non-domestic waste collected by Mac Nabb Bros (Waste Disposal) Ltd in their fleet of trucks and skip lorries is transported to the Materials Recycling Facility at Killough to be processed. Once the waste is tipped into the covered stockpiling area, a dedicated team of waste operatives set about segregating the larger dry recyclables such as cardboard, wood (treated and non-treated), paper, and plastics, as well as the ferrous and non ferrous metals and green waste, at this time big pieces of aggregate are also separated out.
The remaining waste is then loaded into our state-of-the-art Trommel’s large capacity hopper. This is then tromelled and screen separated by the machine and conveyed through a picking station for final sorting (by another team of waste operatives), and thence into various skips. Fines, rubble, timber, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, board and paper all fall into separate concrete bays beneath the conveyor line. The Trommel and picking station has been installed at high level in a specially designed and built covered structure which not only allows all-weather operation, but also reduces noise and dust levels, the latter being reduced further by dust suppression systems.
After processing and separating; around 85% of the total materials is reused. Fines are used as topsoil, the timber is fragmentised for chipboard manufacture and animal bedding; cardboard, and paper is baled and sold on to paper processors for pulp (Mac Nabb Bros (Waste Disposal) Ltd recently purchased a large Excel Baler from the United States capable of baling in excess of 730 Kilo bales); plastic sheeting is also baled and sold on for reuse, alloys and ferrous metals go on to the metal recycling yards; and rubble is crushed, screened and cleaned for use amongst other things as hard fill.

Bin Collection (non domestic)
In addition to our skip and rollonoff services, Mac Nabb Bros (Waste Disposal) Ltd can provide our commercial customers with a competitively priced alternative to the normal public sector commercial bin collection.
We can provide you with any number of bins (ranging in size from 240 litre to 1100 litre) and arrange a collection/service day and time suitable to your needs.
