Plasterboard Recycling
MacNabb Waste are the only company in Northern Ireland licenced for the storage and processing of plasterboard. CURRENTLY THERE ARE NO LANDFILL SITES IN NORTHERN IRELAND WHICH CAN ACCEPT PLASTERBOARD WASTE.
Plasterboard waste cannot be mixed with municipal or domestic waste, because it results in a chemical reaction producing a toxic gas. It therefore requires a seperate disposal cell for landfilling, and none of the landfill sites in Northern Ireland currently operate such a cell.
MacNabb Waste can either accept plasterboard brought directly to our premises, or organise collection from a customers site. Either way this material needs to be kept completely seperate from other waste streams.
In most instances a 12cuyd covered skip is used for collection, or skip bags for smaller quantities. Please feel free to contact our office to organise a collection method which suits your needs.
